Charlie was born in Brighton in 1986 but spent most of his life growing up in Henfield. His Dad was determined to see that Charlie didn't follow in his footsteps so packed him off to Piano lessons from a very early age. In 1997 Charlie won a first prize playing piano in the Henfield Music Festival but soon after took up guitar in a fit of teenage rebelliousness! |

After leaving school, Charlie started teaching guitar to save up to go travelling. Having spent four months in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Malaysia Charlie returned to Brighton in July 2006 and is now teaching guitar again fulltime. Charlie's musical interests range from retro 60s and 70s (Hendrix) Reggae (Bob Marley), Blues and Ska to modern day Punk-Ska and Rock. His naturally patient, friendly style of teaching makes him brilliant with kids in particular and although his Dad wishes he would grow up and get a proper job, it looks like Charlie may be following in the old man's footsteps after all! |
